Language through play and storytelling

Language & Literacy Play

Through picture books, storytelling, alphabet games, and read-aloud time, children build early literacy skills, vocabulary, and a love for language.
Children build confidence through stories, songs, and hands-on word play as they learn to listen, speak, and express themselves with kindness—discovering that their voice matters and is loved by God.

About the Class

Language & Literacy Play is a nurturing space where children explore the world of words through play, stories, and conversation. This class supports early communication skills in a way that feels natural, joyful, and pressure-free.

Through read-alouds, songs, rhymes, and hands-on activities, children learn to listen, speak, and express themselves with confidence. Teachers guide children in discovering letter sounds, building vocabulary, and practicing storytelling in small, supportive groups.

The focus is on building a love for language—not just preparing for school. Children are encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and communicate with kindness, helping them grow emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

In this class, we believe every child’s voice matters. We celebrate their unique way of expressing themselves and help them build the skills to share their story with courage and grace.
